Well, once he went through the portal to his world it wasn't a far walk at all to get to Hodei's apartment complex. It was... maybe five minutes from the Nexus portal to his apartment complex.

Once he got to the door to his apartment though he quickly fished through his pockets to pull out the key and once that was done he opened the door, motioning for him to head in first.

If he did go inside before him he'd be met with a rather nice apartment, small, but kept in a rather neat state. Though there were numerous paintings around the area, both photographs of his body art and canvas.
